PowerCocktail in 30 seconds: it is FitLine's "morning" supplement, a 15 g sachet dissolved in 180 ml of water. It contains vitamins (C, the B group, E, beta-carotene), fruit, vegetable and spice extracts, fibre, prebiotics and live lactic cultures. Its job is to cover your micronutrients in one go: vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, vitamins B6 and B12 to normal energy metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It does not make you lose weight and it is not a medicine. It contains 30 mg of caffeine per serving, so it is not suitable for children or pregnant women.
I'm Alfio Nicolosi, an independent FitLine Team Partner. I have taken it every morning for more than two years, and in this guide I tell you what it is really for, how to take it, what to expect and when it is better to skip it. No promises.
What is FitLine PowerCocktail?
PowerCocktail is a powdered food supplement made in Germany for PM-International, with the company's NTC (Nutrient Transport Concept) formulation, developed to support nutrient absorption. It is not "a multivitamin tablet": it combines three things people usually buy separately.
- Vitamins and antioxidants: vitamin C, E, B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, biotin, folic acid, pantothenic acid, beta-carotene, selenium.
- Plant extracts: cranberry, pomegranate, acerola, apple, broccoli sprouts, strawberry, pineapple, turmeric, ginger and others, rich in polyphenols.
- Fibre, prebiotics and probiotics: oat, pea and apple fibre, inulin, plus the live cultures Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus reuteri.
The flavour is orange and blackcurrant, the colour comes from beetroot and fruit, and it is sweetened with stevia (plus some fructose). It is on the Cologne List, the anti-doping screening programme, which is why professional athletes use it too.
What PowerCocktail is for
I answer with what the label says, not with marketing. PowerCocktail helps to:
- Support energy metabolism and reduce tiredness: vitamins B6, B12, niacin and pantothenic acid contribute to normal energy metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Support your defences: vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
- Protect cells from oxidative stress: vitamin C, vitamin E and selenium contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
- Give you fibre and live cultures every day: a dose of fibre (oat, pea, apple, inulin) plus two strains of lactic bacteria, which for people who eat little vegetables is often the most useful part.
In practice, for me, it is the simplest way to "close" breakfast without managing five different bottles. If your diet is already rich in fruit, vegetables and legumes, the benefit you notice will be smaller: that is worth saying.

Ingredients: what is really inside
| Category | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Vitamins | C, E, B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, biotin, folic acid, pantothenic acid, beta-carotene |
| Trace elements | Selenium |
| Live lactic cultures | L. acidophilus, L. reuteri |
| Fibre and prebiotics | Oat, pea and apple fibre, inulin, acacia gum |
| Plant extracts | Cranberry, pomegranate, acerola, apple, broccoli sprouts, strawberry, pineapple, turmeric, ginger |
| Natural caffeine | Guarana extract, 30 mg per serving |
| Sweeteners | Fructose and steviol glycosides (stevia) |
Two honest notes. It contains fructose: it is not a "zero sugar" product, even if the amount per serving is low. And it contains caffeine: not much, about a third of an espresso, but it is there. For an ingredient-by-ingredient analysis of the whole range see my FitLine ingredients analysis.
How and when to take it
- Pour one sachet (15 g) into 180 ml of still water.
- Stir well until the powder has dissolved.
- Drink straight away.
Dose: 1 sachet a day. A box of 30 sachets lasts a month.
Morning or evening? Morning. It contains caffeine and B vitamins: it makes sense at the start of the day, at breakfast or just before. I drink it as soon as I wake up, before my coffee. If you train in the morning, taking it 20-30 minutes before is fine. In the evening I advise against it, especially if you sleep badly.
With or without food? It makes no difference to absorption. On an empty stomach some people feel slight discomfort in the first days: in that case take it with breakfast.
Does PowerCocktail make you lose weight?
No. PowerCocktail is not a slimming product and does not burn fat. No supplement does.
What I saw in myself, after losing more than 30 kg, is different: having a fixed breakfast and fewer energy dips in the afternoon helped me stay consistent with walking and manage emotional hunger better. The real work was done by a moderate calorie deficit and movement. If your goal is weight, the starting point is food: I talk about it on the page about nutritional support for weight management and in the realistic plan to lose 10 kg.
Be wary of anyone selling you PowerCocktail as "the secret to losing weight": it is not honest and it is not even allowed.
Contraindications and side effects
PowerCocktail is generally well tolerated. The situations that call for care:
- Pregnancy and children: the label states it is not suitable, because of the caffeine.
- Caffeine sensitivity: 30 mg is not much, but if you react even to decaf, avoid it in the evening.
- First days: fibre and live cultures can cause slight bloating while your gut adapts. It usually passes within a week.
- Medication and medical conditions: if you take anticoagulants, thyroid or diabetes medication, or have a chronic condition, ask your doctor first. The interactions to know about are in the article on FitLine side effects and safety.
- Allergens: always check the current label on the pack.
Do not exceed the recommended dose: two sachets do not give "twice the effect".
What to expect and how soon
No immediate energy-drink effect. My experience and that of the people I follow, in order of appearance:
- First week: gut regularity, thanks to fibre and live cultures.
- 2-4 weeks: fewer afternoon energy dips, especially in people whose diet was low in micronutrients.
- Beyond that: nothing dramatic, and that is normal. You do not "feel" a multivitamin, it works on your requirements.
If after a month you notice nothing, it may mean your diet was already complete. In that case there is no point carrying on out of habit.
Price and where to buy it
It is sold only in the official PM-International shop through a Team Partner. It is not the cheapest multivitamin on the market: in Italy a box of 30 sachets costs about €107 at list price, around €3.50 a day, less with the discounts below. Prices vary by country. The updated price list is in the FitLine price guide.
Two legitimate ways to pay less:
- 5% discount code on your first order: instructions on the FitLine discount code page.
- Registering as a Team Partner (about 20% off everything, with no obligation to sell): explained in become a partner.
If you find it on Amazon or eBay it is uncontrolled resale: I advise against it.
PowerCocktail or Basics?
A frequent question. Basics is the "without" version: no caffeine and a more essential formula, designed for people who only want vitamins, fibre and live cultures. PowerCocktail adds the plant extracts and the guarana caffeine. If you are sensitive to caffeine or pregnant, Basics is the right choice. If you want the full morning formula, PowerCocktail. The comparison of all the products is in the guide every FitLine product explained one by one.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take it every day? Yes, the recommended dose is one sachet a day, every day, preferably in the morning.
Does it contain gluten or lactose? Is it vegan? The formula is plant-based with lactic cultures. For gluten, lactose and allergens the current label on the pack is what counts, and it can change.
Can I drink it before training? Yes. With 30 mg of caffeine and B vitamins, 20-30 minutes before activity is a sensible time.
Is it banned for athletes? No. It is on the Cologne List, the anti-doping screening programme, which is why professional athletes use it too.
Can it be taken together with Activize and Restorate? Yes, that is the classic routine: PowerCocktail in the morning, Activize when you need energy during the day, Restorate in the evening. Just watch your total caffeine if you also take Activize.
Any problem with coffee? No, but add up the caffeine: PowerCocktail plus two coffees is still under the 200 mg that EFSA considers safe in a single intake for a healthy adult.
